Dark Shadows is a horror comedy-drama based on the 2012 American Gothic novel of the same name, produced for television between 1966 and 1971. The film is directed by Tim Burton and stars Johnny Depp as Barnabas Collins, the 200 year old vampire, who is detained in a closed coffin. Collins ended that found and make a return trip to the castle, now inhabited by descendants of the function. Collins also found that envy her former lover, Angelique Bouchard, played by Eva Green, who took over the city’s fishing business that was run by the Collins family (Bouchard is a witch who is responsible for changing the Collins into a vampire). Michelle Pfeiffer also stars as cousin Collins, Elizabeth Collins Stoddard, the reclusive Collins family Matron. The film had a limited release on May 10, 2012, and was officially released on the following day in the United States.
Plot:
In 1760, the Collins family emigrated to America and Liverpool set up a fishing port in Maine called Collinsport. Sixteen years later, in 1776, his son, Barnabas (Johnny Depp), had an affair with a maid, Angelique Bouchard (Eva Green), who is a witch enjoying with him since childhood. When he tells her that he does not like or want, Angelique killed his parents. Barnabas then falls in love with Josette do most nearly (Bella Heathcote). In a fit of jealousy, bewitches Angelique Josette jump off a cliff in his death. Barnabas jump behind the sorrow, but he lasted as Angelique turn it into immortal vampire. He raised the iambic Barnabas people buried alive in a coffin with a chainsaw in the woods and your family curse.
One hundred ninety-six years later, in 1972, construction workers accidentally free Barnabas his coffin, which refuses to delay the rescue century dining chairs and not kill him. At breakfast time, Elizabeth became “Barnabas Collins III”, a distant relative of England, who came to revive the family business and reputation in the city. Meanwhile, Dr. Hoffman discovered the true nature of Barnabas after hypnotizing him. She convinced him to try to be normal again pioneering procedure through a blood transfusion, using his own blood, but the real intention is to use his blood to become a vampire to prevent aging. After the discovery of betrayal, Barnabas drains off their property at sea. Barnabas calls Roger trying to find a secret room with Roger’s lack of interest of their children are. In July 2007, Warner Bros. Bought the film rights for the gothic soap opera Dark Shadows from the estate of creator Dan Curtis. Johnny Depp has children madness dark shadow, called a “dream” to show Barnabas Collins, and he assured Burton directly. Development projects have been delayed by the 2007-2008 Writers Guild of America strike. After the attack was completed, Tim Burton attached to direct the film. In 2009, screenwriter John August wrote the screenplay for Dark Shadows. In 2010, author and screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith was replaced in August write a screenplay.
